EKG (Electrocardiogram) Technicians perform ECG tests that record and monitor electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. An electrocardiograph (EKG) technician administers diagnostic cardiac tests to patients’ pre-surgery or to patients who may have cardiac problems; the tests help detect, and monitor medical conditions such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pericarditis and angina.

This course addresses EKG-related medical terminology, cardiac anatomy & physiology, rhythm, and basic interpretation.
